Architecture + Education brings a decade of momentum and successful public outreach to Buffalo Architecture Foundation (BAF).
The program was founded in 2000 as an initiative of AIA Buffalo/Western New York to increase awareness of the built and natural environment by school-aged children through integrating fundamental architectural principles into the grade school curriculum.
Beginning by offering a series of workshops for architects and teachers, Architecture + Education has grown to provide a strong, collaborative program oriented around the renovations of the Buffalo Public Schools (BPS) and bringing together school children, teachers, practicing architects and university students majoring in architecture.
